- Safety is everybody's responsibility.
- Only paid-up persons with a valid SAMAA membership and rating are allowed to fly.
- Visiting pilots need prior permission from management and must report to the Safety Officer present.
- Vehicles use designated parking areas ONLY.
- Please keep grounds & toilets clean.
- SAMAA membership & rules are compulsory. (All SAMAA rules & guidelines apply.)
- No starting in pit area. (Use starting boxes.)
- Wind direction will determine the runway in use. Alternatively, it can be determent by the safety officer on duty. Runway in use may only be changed after liaising with all pilots on the flight line.
- Helicopters will use the HELIPAD on crosswind runway.
- Intentions will be announced loudly (TAKE-OFF, LANDING, DEAD STICK, LOW PASS with direction, Recovery, Touch & Go, Glider Joining, Glider Landing.)
- Order of priority of calls:
- Dead stick
- Glider Landing
- Landing
- Recovery
- Glider joining
- Take Off
- Touch & Go
- Low pass.
- Pilots to use pilot boxes. (5m from runway & 5m apart from other pilots.)
- Visitors are not allowed beyond the yellow fence, for safety, unless accompanied by the person responsible for the visitor.
- No person consuming alcohol will be allowed to fly.
- NO FLY ZONE is North & East of the runways to beyond the parking lot and public areas.
- Models deemed too noisy will be grounded by the Safety Officer on duty.
- Only R/C related equipment allowed in the pits.
- The Safety officer's decision is FINAL.
- Always consider your fellow pilots.
- No “politics” will be allowed.
- The owners reserve the right to close property for functions.
- Permits will be issued for vehicles to enter property.
- Any person who does not adhere to the rules can be dismissed from the property.
- The directors reserve the right to change rules & fees at any time at their discretion.
